Beekeeping Workshop - Sunday 24th of November from 9am
Keen to learn a bit more about your bee’s? Or considering setting up your own hive? Wild Coast Honey has put together a one day workshop delivered by professional beekeepers to help guide you through the ABC’S of hosting and harvesting your very own Langstroth Hive.
Learning to read and understand your colony is the first step in establishing a healthy hive. Here at Wild Coast we are passionate about everything bee - and we're so keen to share our bee-knowledge with pretty much anyone who will listen. So we have introduced our very own bee keeping workshops to encourage hobbyist's and individuals at home to get involved and help support the bee crisis, and have a bit of fun while we're at it.
Having bees at home is an extremely rewarding experience. Not only for your garden, but interacting with nature in a very intimate way and learning the day-to-day happenings of these fascinating and intelligent creatures.
Sounds fun right?
During the day we cover subjects such as:
- Bee life basics
- Equipment, safety and how to use it
- Hive management
- Honey harvesting
Suits, gloves and morning tea is provided, as well as living hives available for purchase on the day.
